Since the California Desert Trial Academy opened in September 2012, it has maintained its’ place on the cutting edge of technology and legal instruction.

Distance Learning allows students to attend classes in real time, and interact with other students and professors, as they would if they were physically present in class. Distance learning helps anyone do it online! CDTA utilizes unique, online educational tools to assist those who may not have the time to faithfully adhere to a regular schedule.

Connecting with students in 2020 when technology can supplement traditional classroom learning with a vast library of online tools is invaluable for students who have significant responsibilities in addition to meeting the demands of law school. At the California Desert Trial Academy, we are continuously seeking ways to better utilize online resources for the benefit of CDTA’s growing diverse student body.

Online access to CDTA classes provides a unique study tool for students to review recorded classes for exams or if they have simply missed class. CDTA students who live too far away to attend CDTA three evenings a week can still come in for Saturday class to practice writing and to connect in person with classmates. They are also abloe to participate in the Barrister’s Luncheon.

In 2020, anyone can take advantage of CDTA’s distance learning program. Wherever you live the Coachella Valley, if you’re interested in becoming an attorney-advocate The California Desert Trial Academy (CDTA) is conveniently located at 45-290 Fargo Street, Indio, California. But if there are times when even traveling to the CDTA may be difficult and challenging, CDTA’s vast array of online resources can connect you.

The CDTA Student Portal lets students stream classes online, even allowing them the chance to interact with professors and fellow students. The Student Portal provides CDTA students with access to archived classes online at any time of day. This is just another facet of CDTA’s distance learning approach to earning a law degree.

Online digital resources allow educational institutions at all levels to provide more options and solutions for their students. CDTA’s use of the internet helps students learn and achieve academic and professional goals. It offers a distinct, modern approach to legal education in the 21st Century. Co-Founder and Dean John Patrick Dolan, a distinguished legal advocate in his own right, had the vision to go beyond what law schools had done for a century, using technology and online resources to teach students the law, substantive and procedural, and the hard and soft skills necessary to practice it.

Upon admission to the Bar, California Desert Trial Academy graduates are fully educated, trained, and coached to represent their clients on their first day of practice with skills that go far beyond their contemporaries from other law schools.
