The CDTA: Pushing Forward In 2020

The Fall of 2020 is here and the semester’s abrupt transition to distance learning is in full swing. Faculty and students are taking full advantage of the California Desert Trial Academy College of Law’s (CDTA) online learning platform, now in its ninth year of operation. Everyone at the CDTA has united to overcome the universal challenges that arise as a result of a forced emphasis on the virtual classroom. As a result, the CDTA is pushing successfully forward in 2020 as we approach our tenth anniversary.

There are many students with limited access to online learning tools because the educational institution they attend has not implemented or is in the beginning stages of implementing a distance learning platform. Students who have relied on access to public working spaces like libraries and loaned technology now suddenly find themselves without access to a workspace outside of the classroom, as well as the classroom itself.

CDTA’s instructors are already well familiar with videoconferencing tools such as Zoom that allow them to facilitate smaller group discussions, which helps maintain the flow of class discussion. CDTA’s student portal, optimized for distance learning, features CDTA class archives of prerecorded lectures, which allows students to watch class videos on their own schedule and at their own pace.

The CDTA places students in the best position to derive benefits from distance learning, notwithstanding the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing an effective online learning platform for almost a decade, the CDTA has made distance learning a full facet of its curriculum, thus enhancing the ability of working Californians to attend law school. The California Desert Trial Academy College of Law provides a state-of-the-art online learning platform that takes full advantage of the benefits provided by distance learning. The CDTA is truly moving forward in 2020!

A primary emphasis of the California Desert Trial Academy has been the implementation of an effective, useful, online distance learning platform. CDTA students have a wide variety of online resources available to facilitate and enhance their learning experiences at their convenience, especially now as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The CDTA College of Law trains, educates, and develops students to be exceptional attorneys and trial advocates. Call us today at (760) 342-0900 or find out more online here.
